Singing help?!?!?!? What does it mean to sing a 'F' or a 'E' note? I'm really confused?

OK, so I was in middle school chir (7th grade) and now I just moved and the choir is REALLY differemt. Here, we do a lot of more advanced stuff. Since, my old choir techer never thaught it to us, I get confused. My new teacher refuses to help or let me quit since this is my 4th year. What the hell does it mean to sing a 'F' note or a 'E'??! It would be REALLY REALLY helpful if you could find me a video on youtube about it. Or even making a quick video of urself doing (or someone u no willing to help) and directly email it to me.
