James W L Perry, birth in PA?

Hoping to locate the PARENTS of James Wilbert Lester Perry. SSDI says born 15 Aug 1906, died Sept 1985. This is for a friend, so I am not sending for the death cert. He was in Wood co, WV in 1928, when he married Kathryn King. The couple lived in Wood co in the 1930 census, which shows he and both his parents were born in PA. Everyone else in my friends line is falling so nicely into place, except can't seem to pick up James.. or maybe just tired and want to let someone else join the fun. I have their kids, etc.
