HI im a guy and i tried out for show choir and i actually made it. But the probably is i cant sing well at all. I guess the choir teacher saw potential in my voice. My i can do really low notes and medium range notes but i cannot hit high notes. Thats my voice range . I picked up the dance pretty fast since im a dancer. I'm just really nervous about doing show choir because i don't wanna make a fool of myself because i cant sing that well. Is it too late for me to major in voice?

I'm 17 years old, and I have been singing in some fashion for most of my life. I sang in a youth choir (2-3 part harmony) for five years, church choir for 3, and I started private voice lessons this summer. My voice is still developing, but at my first lesson, my teacher got me up to a high C#. I still need a lot of work, but I've discovered I love singing. I want to devote considerable study to it, and perhaps even major in it. I'm going to college next year (fall 2012), and obviously I've got to decide if I'm going to do auditions, etc. I suppose I could always transfer in as well. Is it too late to consider/prepare for auditions at a collegiate level? It probably is, but since I've seen a few music teachers out here, I'd love to hear input.

Collection agency doing a Bank Garnishment?

Should a collection agency sue you for a medical bill for $300 and you have been making monthly payments, they get a judgement.....Can they garnish a bank account that I am list as a signor only? I do not have a personal bank account of my own but listed on a business account as a signor. My understanding is the account is listed under a federal tax id number.

Is my landlord right?

Last month we had a severe thunderstorm and the wind ripped the screen on our window. We called the landlord and told them it was ripped and they came and replaced it. Two weeks later we get a bill for $40. We called and inquired about the bill and they told us there was no way the wind would have caused the screen to rip. What are our rights? Do we have any? We are moving out of town anyway, but I don't think it's fair of them to charge us for the upkeep on their building when we really did not cause the rip at all. If we choose not to clean our carpets when we move out and it exceeds our deposit would they send us a bill or sue us? We are good renters--lived there for over two years with no problems or late rent payments. We paid a very low deposit. Live in Iowa if that matters.

Should a young teenage girl sing tenor?

I am a thirteen year-old girl, going into 8th grade, wanting to know if singing tenor at this age could permanently damage my vocal chords. I have tried researching many places, but they all seem to say many different things. Some say that it's okay if it comes naturally. Others say that it will ruin my vocal chords forever. I really don't want my vocal chords to me ruined; I love singing, in fact I want to be a choir director after my education. However, singing alto in my school choir hurts my voice a lot. It's not just annoying, it hurts a LOT! I've tried exercises, like octave stretches and I've tried sucking it up, but I fear the hurting would damage my vocal chords as well. My choir director at church says it's no problem, and that it's very interesting. My other director at school says it would damage my vocal chords and that I should wait until I'm in high school (9th grade) to sing that low since it's not healthy for a girl my age to sing tenor. Yet again, I've begged him since I was in sixth grade, but he still doesn't think it's a great idea. I want to agree with him since he's by far the most wise and intelligent person I've ever met, but I don't think it would be that bad, because it isn't like it is being forced. I don't have the money or time to see a "professional" and figure out where my breaks are and etc. I don't want to ruin my vocal chords, because I love singing more than almost anything else, but if singing alto were to hurt my voice, that would also be bad... so I was curious if anyone out there would know anything about the matter. I posted an ad on craigslist about needing a job. This guy named anthony cavallo messaged me about doing some advertising postings for him. I started talking to him over e-mail and messenger. pretty much he e-mails me the work to do for the day then i do it. He said the payment is weekley so i would get paid once a week and its $300. I asked him if i could get paid early this week by friday at least half the money and he agreed. How can i make sure the check is not fake or that he is not scamming me. He said he could do the payment however i wanted. via western union, money order, etc. I am worried that this is a scam. Has anyone ever been in this situation before? what should i do?

Okay so i just graduated high school.. The week of graduation was a very stressful time for me because i was trying so hard to pass Pre cal and my legal guardian (my uncle) and i got into a very discouraging argument about what my chances were of graduating.. To make a long story short, i was called a disappointment and all those wonderful things that parents say but sure enough i graduated... After that, i came back to my hometown to find a job to save money for college and i will be here for the next 6 months. I'm pretty positive my uncle is expecting me to move back with him when the six months are over. But I look back on my years of high school... And he really didn't offer much help besides financial help as well as a roof over my head.But with my dad in prison and my mom out of the picture, i really needed some support with my interest in my extracurriculars, and just needed somebody to be there for me. When my dad was around he would do anything to help me in anything i was struggling in. But my uncle suggested i find help from somebody else.. Honestly i felt like he didn't care about what i did at school. I spent my whole high school career in choir. Music is my life. And he would make no compromises to see me perform or at least try to be involved... Maybe i just compared him too much to my dad... but i really needed him and he wasn't there... And I'm sure when i go to college, i will have a hard time getting around since he is so focused on HIS life HIS plans HIS problems...whatever! One of my close friends invited me to move in with them... And honestly i really want to. But I have never been away from my family... Here's the deal. I sing Opera and I'm top notch Soprano at my community college and would do anything for music. I've been singing all my life, been in so many programs and choirs and have been taking singing lessons for years. I flew out to New Jersey last December to apply to Westminster College in Princeton, NJ (this school is private, population of 70 students, and is connected to Princeton and if I got accepted I would be a Princeton student as well.) I did a private audition and blew the judges away, saying they would do "anything" to have me as a student and am the best singer they've heard in a long time. After the audition I flew back home waiting for my acceptance letter. I got my letter 1 week later saying they accepted me and offering my $21,000 scholarship towards my tuition. Although the tuition is $40,000 a year, I still need $19,000. The school said they don't give full ride scholarships and the scholarship I got is the best. I called the school many times for financial aid or loans and they said they do not offer anything more than my scholarship and that I can look into bank loans. If I got a government loan I need to co-sign with my parents, but we keep getting denied cause my parents "make too much money." My parents can't pay out of their pocket cause they "Have too many expensive bills to pay." But bank loans interest are SO HIGH! I don't know if I'm getting myself into something I will regret and be in debt for life. But this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and all my professional teachers are saying I can honestly get famous for this for how talented I am...but the financial problem is such a pain. My parents are conservative, so they said if I can't go to Princeton I need to move out and live on my own and work up in a restaurant somehow. What's the point in a credit card/buying house.?

People keep telling me i need a credit card to buy a house. I also get told if i don't regularly buy things with a credit card my credit score goes down. If i miss a payment with credit card, credit score goes down. It's all based off debt so corporations can make a profit. What's the point in having a credit card. I have a debit. Also why would you want to buy a house? You're trapped there with that money tied up in the house if something bad happens to it, not to mention if you purchase it on a loan it's going to chew up a bunch of income that didn't need to chewed up. Okay, so I want to form a Christian music group. I was thinking something similar to PureNRG. I have been in long term relationships my one relationship was 4 and half years long and it ended two years ago I loved that girl but it took me about a year and I was able to see I was better off with out her. Many Churches are empty today because they do not embrace diversity, and they are out of touch with the Younger Generation. The younger generation is more open to diversity than past generations. I think any Church who is not open to diversity and the youth movement will find itself empty at some point in the 21st Century. I have seen this first hand in numerous churches across the land.

I know some schools like University of Notre Dame, have a sister school. You can go to holy cross, and take classes at University of Notre Dame. When it comes time to get the degree, you move over to University of Notre Dame and your degree is from University of Notre Dame. Can a teacher make it mandatory for an after school function where there is no transportation?

My son is in a choir class. He was suppose to go to a choir recital at 6pm (school lets out at 2:30). There is not school provided transportation to and from this function. I had to take my father to the hospital and my son did not make the function and the teacher dropped his grade, because it was a mandatory function. Question about creating my own lease/contract/addendum(?) for a potential roommate?

Long story short, i got screwed over by my last roommate. I am moving into new building and need a new roommate, but i want to legally protect myself with some sort of document. Can a landlord counter sue me?

I am thinking of suing my ex-landlord for not giving me a an itemized deduction list within the 14-day time limit according to Washington State guidelines. I received a partial payment with no explanation. I went through the Better Business Bureau to get a response from the Apt. complex and they told BBB that they gave me an itemized list. They faxed over a copy of my 1-year contract along with a letter to the BBB in which they explained the deductions in the letter (they didn't fax over the itemized list, just an explanation in the letter), along with telling the BBB that they were nice enough to not charge me for the 2 days I was there (I moved out on the 2nd of the month). I gave the apt. complex the 20-day notice to move out notifying them that I was moving on the 3rd. The landlord showed up at my door on the 1st of the month and told me that if I didn't move out on the 2nd, that he would charge me the full month's rent. I am not confident at all !! I always want to cry whenever i have to perform or read a speech at school. I use to be in the school choir and my music teacher says she adores me to bits but i dropped out because my confidence suddenly went. I attended a school program and half way through, I'm in the process of withdrawing, The school I'm attending is a popular tech school and will not return my money. Can a bank add a months payment to a repossession even if that months bill Isnt due?

So long story short my boyfriend and I have gone through some hardships in that last year, from getting laid off. We have fallen behind on our truck payments but have gotten caught back up and had a arrangement to pay the last payment to be completely caught up this friday. We have our truck loan with Compass bank and today we called to get the balance of what was due friday, come to find out they have placed our truck in repossession. Apparently the payment we made previously was one day late cuz the bank entered it to late in the night for them to get it same day. Anyways as angry as I am I understand the bank has the right to put our vehicle up for repossession, now my question comes into play. In order for us to take it out of repossession we have to pay a fee to get the notice off plus the balance that was still due, not a big problem except the bank is saying that the balance that is due includes next months payment plus what we were planning on paying friday. How does that work our payment isn't due till the 10th of the month, why do we have to pay next months payment when its not even up to be paid yet? Now Im pretty ticked off cuz how is that at all legal? Can someone please help i have no idea what Ima do since i don't have that kinda cash now!

What should I do about my boyfriend?

Why does my throat hurt when i swallow?

Ok so i was with my friends and we had a contest. It was to see how long i can sing against my friend. I never took a choir class in my life but they thought i was very good. Question about my interest rate for a car I bought.?

Alright, well I bought my first car on Sunday. I'm in the Marines, and purchased a Subaru WRX for $9,900. However since my credit score is 0. Navy fed could only get me a loan at 15% interest. My monthly payment is $240 a month. I deploy to Afghanistan next month and will be able to make $1,000-2,000 monthly payments while I'm over there. Basically my question is, if I make larger monthy payments will I be paying less on interest?

To be honest I'd go for option 1, it's true that you won't be able to get a decent car for a while but it's more important to be debt-free. If you need a car you can always use public transport for a few weeks until you get enough money or buy a small used car that's really cheap but is enough to at least get you to your destination. Besides, having credit-card debt reflects badly on your credit score so of you've got debt it will be harder to buy your new car with a loan or monthly installments (it's better to pay your debts before buying the car). As your your parents finding out, well they will find out that you're without a car anyway so might as well just get the debt over and done with, if you spread out your payments across several months (apart from having to pay interest) your parents will almost surely get to know.

On TV recently, she was asked about this and said it was a "one-time payment that went for employee training", I believe. BUT, that was not true. In addition to Medicaid, they also received a grant for the clinic that went for employee training. The Medicaid funds were outside the grant. The Medicaid agency said the check from them went "directly to the clinic." They have received Medicaid funds for 6 years starting withh 2005. And guess where the highest fraud in Medicaid originates? With clinics like Bachmann and Associates because they are the hardest to police. You just don't know what they do wit the money! Feelings about michael jackson?

Last month, my choir did a medly of Michael Jackson songs. I used to hate him, saying he was a pedo and everything. But when i listened to his music and did some research my views changed completly. this sounds like a horribly sticky situation... theres got to be a way out of this situation for you because your well being seems to be suffering. alot of people are feeling stuck right now in these financial times. my suggestion is to search far and wide for a job and be very SERIOUS about this because this willbe your only way out!!! your escape plan! unless you think you can stomach the environment long enough to finish school...if you do decide to do that i would reccommend a good mp3 player/playlist because music can help when you are dealing w ith people like that. and try to be out of the house as much as possible. its the only way. you will need to find a roomate and a job close by the place you live... or vice versa but its the only way you will get out! start making real plans now and making steps towards getting yourself where you need to be or stay where you are focus on school, pray that god helps you maintain your sanity and be the best student you can be so you can leave and dont turn out to be a bitter miserable person like youre mother! let me know if you need any help/support!

Okay, so I really really want to go to either Stanford or Columbia University. I kno that the odds are really slim, but I still want to see if i really have a chance. High school change?!?

You really need to think about what is best for you. If you are really interested in the whole performing arts program that is at Oxford, and you feel that it will do good for you and maybe even your future, I say go to Oxford. This will challenge you and you'll be able to start your own legacy at the school. Sure you'll miss your friends but you'll make new friends, and it's not like you can't hang out on the weekends or stuff like that. I think that you shouldn't base your whole decision on friends, you should base it on what is best for you. And I mean come on, you already found a really nice home that is in the Oxford district, why pass that up? Also, why would you wanna go to a ghetto school? I go to one and trust me, it's not that much fun, you would like it much better at a nice school. I say you follow what is best for you. Don't think about anyone else but yourself for this decision. What happens to the tenants when the house is being repossesed?

I have rented my cousins house and not long after moving in i found a letter taped to the door from his bank,i accidently opened it and read if he did not make a payment within 31 days the house would be repossesed,it was $4000 behind in payments,my cousin tells me he has fixed this up and its all good,recently iv recieved 2 letters addressed to him from his bank(he obviously has not changed his address yet) and to protect myself have held them up to a light to see what it says,it says he has to vacate the property in less than 2 weeks as the house is being repossessed.im at a loss of what to do as i would get in a lot of trouble for reading his mail as last time when i opened his mail i got in trouble,i dont think the bank knows he has rented his house out either so im worried they might change the locks and take my belongings as they would think they were his,im not sure on what my rights are here,what happens to me and how long would i have to move if it does sell?I signed a lease with him for 2 years as i was worried this myt happen,stupid me for not trusting my instincs.Iv only been living here 2 months,the last thing i want to do is move

What are good healthy meals to eat for a diet?!? PLEASE HELP!?

Ok so. I'm 12 and I'm around 140 to 143 pounds... I'm trying to lose weight for middle school, since I signed up for show choir. I am looking o lose about 20-30 pounds before Aug. 15, 2011 and right now it's june. So.. I really needs healthy foods that my family can make, or I can make for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I got snacks covered because I eat an apple if I'm hungry. This is what my typical day looks like: I eat a cup of special K cereal (fruit and yogurt) with a cup of skim milk for breakfast, Anything like a sandwhich, LITTLE bit of pasta and lean meat, or meat for lunch and maybe a cup of water. Then I eat a salad, grilled cheese, or potaoes with lean meat for dinner with maybe a cup or two of water. then I MIGHT eat a bite of something sweet literally a bite. I wait 20-30 minutes then I workout for an hour. I dane hard for 30 minutes, do 100 legg lifts, 100 sit ups, and work 12 minutes on an ab machine called ab circle pro. Then I drink plenty of water and take 2 tables spoons of PURE honey 10-15 minutes before I go to bed. I noticed some changes... but not much. BYW I've been doing this for 1 week and 2 days. So please tell me good foods i can eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that won' backtrack me and cause me to gain weight, but help me lose weight and stay healthy. ALSO, if you could list any websites that have good info and working out or healthy eating that would be great. OR just tell me foods, and workout things that I can do. I really need to lose weight in my stomach and legs, and maybe a bit of the old bottom........ SO yeah... this will help a lot ... I at least want to fit a sixe small or medium in clothes. Not a large or XL.... thanks. And motivational tips would be great. I REALLY want this weight to come off. Help!

I think that you are fine now to perform. Just do it! I have done choir since grade one and I am currently going into twelfth grade. I have done gigs and I have NO training (and even won the school talent show three years ago!), so I think that you should be fine too!

2 credit payment options, which one?

To be honest I'd go for option 1, it's true that you won't be able to get a decent car for a while but it's more important to be debt-free. If you need a car you can always use public transport for a few weeks until you get enough money or buy a small used car that's really cheap but is enough to at least get you to your destination. Besides, having credit-card debt reflects badly on your credit score so of you've got debt it will be harder to buy your new car with a loan or monthly installments (it's better to pay your debts before buying the car). As your your parents finding out, well they will find out that you're without a car anyway so might as well just get the debt over and done with, if you spread out your payments across several months (apart from having to pay interest) your parents will almost surely get to know.

Will washing my adams apple damage my voice or anything?

i got in chamber choir and so i do what i can to protect my voice. unfortunately as i play sports naturally dirt and sweat builds up on my throat. so when i take a shower i get the wash clothe and scrub my throat area. i have to put pressure to get the dirt off and at times i accidently shove my adams apple about, not too hard. i feel fine so far but i dont want to hurt my throat, is there an easier way of maintaining healthy hygiene on my neck and not hurt my throat?

I got into a fight with this one chick about a week ago, she was my "friend" but decided that she doesn't like my and blatantly told me so because I "really piss her off". After a few angry text messages were sent back and forth i deleted her number and have been trying to forget about it. We are both going to be in choir together next year and I'm not looking forward to seeing her again. Her twitter even mentions that "the feathers are gonna fly August 29th" (first day of class) a lot of her friends are also in choir too and I don't want them ganging up on me. I don't want any drama because We are in college and I don't want any silly fights to get in the way of my education. If she nit picks in class I'm just going to ignore her because I have my own friends in choir to back me up and her immaturity is not going to bother me, but if she lays a hand on me after class what should I do? Child Support: Ex withholding wage information?

I have reason to believe that my ex is withholding his commissioned wages. I believe he only reported his hourly wages. I called my case worker and learned what my child support payment would be and I know he has not reported his income correctly. I know how much he makes hourly+commissions and my child support payment of $398 per month cannot be correct. He makes over $4,000 a month. Is it possible that he has only reported his hourly wages to the state??? Can I subpoena his W2's or tax returns?
